Wow, it was a windy start to the second half of the season on the Tri-lakes. There didn’t seem to be any place to hide on lake Mecosta. But that didn’t stop our top notch anglers from catching some impressive bags and fish.  Some anglers made it work on connecting round lake and others toughed it out on the main lake.

Some fun facts, 5 anglers weighed multiple fish bags, we caught 16 fish, weighing 24lbs 2oz, 2 anglers bagged 4 fish, we had 2 penalties, and 2 anglers got skunked.

Tri-lakes unofficial winners are:

Big Bass, Ron “papa” Sykes , 15.5”, 2lb even large mouth, on red Senoko

Angler of the Week, Gary, 4 Fish, 6lbs 3oz, all caught on Game Hawg, and on Round lake I hear.

Honorable Mention, Ricky M, 4 fish, 5lbs 5oz, all on a wacky worm
