I hope everyone enjoyed the first half of the Fish Ferris Bass League. For the most part Mother Nature cooperated and all of our anglers posted legal bass on the leader board. There has been a lot of comradery during the weigh in.

Our next event is on Tri-lakes and If you haven’t heard there was a drowning on Round Lake last week. This reminds me that a few years ago my wife insisted that I start wearing a life jacket while fishing. Since that time I wear an inflatable jacket and insist that my co-anglers wear one as well. I encourage everyone to wear jackets while fishing. So, be safe!

Here are some unofficial first half stats for your enjoyment.

– 12 anglers and multiple guests participate across 8 weeks

– all FFBL anglers register legal bass

– 86 legal bass were caught

– 143lbs 1oz weighed in

– 5 different anglers won big bass over 8 events

– 4 different anglers won angler of week with most weight

– biggest bass 4lbs 2oz by Chuck besting Emmanuel’s 3lbs 11oz

– first half winner Johnny U with most overall weight
