The Tri-Lakes have not been a favorite of some members of the FishFerris group.  If these locations were fished earlier in the season, I think they would be some of our best fishes.  As we have seen in past seasons, fishing slows down as water temperatures increase.  Some of the toughest fishing is in July and August.  Myself, I have enjoyed fishing on Lake Mecosta and Round Lake as these have been high producers for me.  There are excellent bottom transition areas providing many opportunities for shallow and deep water fishing depending on your preferences.  Also, there are both Largemouth and Smallmouth in these lakes.  I predict if John Randle fishes tonight with his jigs, he will do well.
